Taco Jalisco, a bilingual restaurant site

November 2026

A three-page restaurant site in English and Spanish, with the whole menu and live hours.

The Taco Jalisco home page with the restaurant's logo, papel picado, and a photo of the storefront

I built a new website for Taco Jalisco, a breakfast and lunch restaurant in Lytle, Texas. It has three pages in English and Spanish, with a language switch on every page.

The menu page lists every item and price, with a category bar that stays on screen and scans of the printed menu. The home page shows today's hours as they change, the specials, and favorites. The visit page has a map, the hours, and directions.

The first version was one long page. After the owner's feedback I split it into three pages and added Spanish, then did a third round on the design.

It is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no framework. A small build script makes every page from the menu data.

  • PagesHome, menu, and visit, each in English and Spanish
  • StatusPreview, not live yet
